During my recent stay, I was charmed by how close I was to both Douglass Park, perfect for a leisurely stroll, and the beautiful Mary Todd Lincoln House, offering a glimpse into history just a short walk away, making my explorations so enjoyable.

The golf course is well-maintained and enjoyable. The pool area needs some serious updates. Also, the fridge setup was awkward.

I had an absolute blast exploring the local eats during my stay! The main restaurant offered a solid buffet for breakfast, perfect for fueling up before a day of adventure. Plus, the outdoor area was inviting and perfect for relaxing with a Kentucky cocktail in hand. Also, big love to the incredibly dog-friendly vibe—wish I'd brought mine along!

But listen, the fridge setup was a bit of a head-scratcher, so awkward to use! And talk about a wacky door for the bathroom. it didn’t always stay closed, and that made for some funny moments. Oh, and the noise from the floor above felt like a constant house party we weren’t invited to!

Only downside was the awkward fridge setup—it was a real head-scratcher. 😅

The outside pool area was stunning, and the free Kentucky Cocktails in the lobby at 4:30 PM were a nice touch! The landscaping was great, perfect for those Instagram moments. The inner pool area was decent for a quick swim.

However, I encountered significant setbacks with the reservation process, leading to an overcharge for my room. The amenities lacked basic upkeep. the indoor pool needed better attention, and I noticed missing towels at the pool area on multiple occasions, which didn't add to the experience. It felt like the amenities promised weren't adequately managed, and I left with an overall feeling of unmet expectations.

great stay but dining could improve

We greatly appreciated the cleanliness of our room during our three-night stay. The dog-friendly environment made us wish we had our pet with us, and the daily straightening of our room was exceptional.

The dining options, while good, felt a bit pricey for what was offered.

The hotel offered a nice environment with an outdoor pool that looked great. We enjoyed some downtime in the hot tub, which was a nice feature. Valet service by Owen was excellent, and he made us feel welcomed right away. The food in the onsite restaurant was pretty good, especially the ribeye and the brie and dates appetizer. Breakfast options included both buffet and menu service, which I appreciated. I also found the location convenient, just a short drive to attractions like the Kentucky Horse Park. However, several things could use improvement. The sink faucet in our room barely worked. water pressure was hardly enough to wash my hands. The initial room had issues with the temperature control too. Dining service felt slow during dinner, and our server could have been more attentive. I also noticed that housekeeping seemed overwhelmed, as we had to request basic items like extra towels multiple times. Ice machines on our floor were empty, which was frustrating since they prohibited outside food.

My kids wished for a cleaner outdoor pool. It was a bit dirty with bugs, making it less inviting for a swim.

The location was convenient for our activities, and the beautiful landscaping added a nice touch. Enjoyed the Kentucky Cocktails in the lobby at 4:30 PM, which was a delightful surprise. However, despite the renovations, the dated hallways and issues with the HVAC system detracted from the experience. Service at check-in lacked warmth and acknowledgment of loyalty status, which was disappointing.

Family getaway with some highs and lows

So, we had a decent stay for our two nights. The grounds were pretty nice and I gotta say the golf course looked fantastic, my kids had a blast just roaming around the hotel.

Wasn't cheap but for the most part acceptable.
